During a Lunar Eclipse, the Moon passes through the Earth's shadow. The only light reaching the Moon is sunlight which as passed through the earth's atmosphere at a low angle. This is the same effect which makes sunsets appear red. In ancient times people referred to an eclipsed moon as appearing 'Blood Red.' The Earth as viewed from the Moon during an eclipse would appear as a thin ring of red light.
A Tetrad of Blood Moons:
It is possible for a Lunar Eclipse to occur twice a year when the sun and moon are 180ยบ apart in the sky and close to the celestial equator. If a total Lunar Eclipse occurs four consecutive times in a row, it is called a Tetrad. When this happens you will have four lunar eclipses occurring about 6 months apart covering a period of time of one and a half years. Tetrads can occur a number of times in one century, while other centuries will have no Tetrads. See listing of Tetrads to the right. From year 1 until 2010 there have been 54 Tetrads. The years 2014-2015 will be the 55th Tetrad.
Tetrads that occur on Jewish Feast Days:
In Rev. Mark Biltz book Blood Moons, Decoding the Imminent Heavenly Signs he states that it is somewhat rare for all four tetrad blood moons to occur each on Jewish Feast Days. (See list of dates in left column.) Only two happened in the fourteen hundreds and the next two happened in the nineteen hundreds. When this has happened in the past important events have occurred on or near the Jewish Tetrads. A Jewish Tetrad occurred 1493-1494 and this was period of time that Jews were expelled from Spain and Columbus returned from his discovery of the New World. In 1949-1950 this happened again. Jews returned to form the country of Israel for the first time in 2000 years. The next time this occurs is the Tetrad of 1967-1968. Israel captured the city of Jerusalem in the Six Day War and for the first time Jews pray at the holy wall in the city of their ancestors. In 2014 we have started a new Tetrad of Blood Moons which all fall on Jewish Feast Days. What will happen in Israel during this time? Mark Blitz points out that this is only the ninth time in 2000 years that this has happened where a Tetrad has all four Blood Moons occurring on Jewish feast days. The number "Nine" in Hebrew has the meaning of 'judgment.' The last Blood Moon of this Tetrad will also be a Super Moon appearing larger then usual, and the eclipsed moon will be setting over Jerusalem on a feast day.

During this year all debts are to be forgiven, slaves set free, the land is to rest, and the economy of the land will be reduced. Shemitah Years can bring down economies, kingdoms or nations that do not follow God's will. If the people follow God's Laws the nation is blessed that this time; if not it, can mean bad times for a nation. In Rabbi Jonathan Cahn's book The Mystery of the Shemitah he explains the many unique important events have happen in American history on Shemitah Years.

1938- German Nazis attack Jewish businesses and burn Jewish Synagogues on Kristallnacht (the Night of Broken Glass.)
1945- Nazi Germany is defeated. The Atomic bomb is dropped on Japan thus ending World War II. Japan signs peace treaty the same week of the end of the Shemitah year.
1945- The United States becomes a military super power. The U.S. dollar becomes the world standard currency. The United States is the richest country in the world, and the world's largest lender nation.
1973- The United States Supreme Court declares that America's can kill their unborn babies.
1973- The World Trade Center is completed which is a symbol of Americas economic strength.
1973- America looses its first war to Vietnam. Nixon takes America off the Gold standard. This sets in motion the decline of the U.S. dollar.
1980- The U.S. Supreme Court bans the posting of the Ten Commandments in Public Schools. Thus God is now completely banned from our public schools in America.
2001- The World Trade Center buildings (the symbols of Americas economic strength) are destroyed by an Islamic terrorist attack. One week later Wall Street has one of its greatest collapses on the last day of the Jewish Shemitah Year.
2008- Exactly seven years later, Wall Street suffers its largest decline. America is now the world's largest debtor nation.
2014-2015- In Sept of 2014 we start a new Shemitah Year. This happens in connection with a Tetrad of 4 Blood Moons which all occur on Jewish feast days. As the United States has turn away from God and endorsed many sins, it is very possible that God's judgment will fall on America during this year of the Shemitah.

A Once in Two Millennial Event!
How often does a Tetrad of Bloods which all fall on Jewish feast days and in a Shemitah Year occur? In the top left column you will find two list of years. The first list of years show the years that a Tetrad of four Blood Moons all occur on Jewish feast days. This list is from Mark Biltz's book on the Blood Moons. This has happen just nine times since the time of Christ. The second list of years show the years in which a Tetrad of Blood Moon occur in Shemitah Years. This has happened only 10 times in 2000 years. Only the years 2014-2015 are in both list. So this is the first time in 2000 years that a Tetrad of four Blood Moons has occurred all on Jewish feast days and in a Shemitah Year! An unprecedented event.
What could this mean for our future?
The Bible states that God created the Sun, Moon and stars to be signs to mankind. Because of the past history of important events happening during these special times, of Shemitahs and Tetrads, we would be prudent to be watchful. The period 2014-2015 is an extremely rare intersection of celestial events with religious observances. Many are saying this is a celestial sign post, that some very important event is about to occur from our creator. This could mean we are entering the End Times and starting the Tribulation in which the rise of the Anti-Christ happens. Others say it means the return of Christ. To support these ideas the Bibles says the Jews from around the world will return to their homeland Israel which happened in 1948. It is prophesied the End Times will occur within one generation of the establishment of the Jewish state which means time is near. Others will say it means God's judgment on the nations of Earth. Since America is turning away from the teachings of the Bible, many Christian leaders are warning us, that we will likely face God's judgment during this time. This judgment will cause much suffering and destruction across America. America's unrepentant nature mirrors the Israelites of the Old Testament and God punished them severely for their sins. Current events seem to be moving us to a new world conflict which might be World War III. If so, will this usher in the prophesied battle of Armageddon? Time will tell, but it is safe to say, be prepared for some major event to happen soon.
Jubilee Years
Jubilee Years are based on the Shemitah Years which occur every 7 years. Seven Shemitahs makes a Shemitah of Shemitahs. (7x7=49 years is the Shemitah of Shemitah cycle period.) The year following the 7th Shemitah Year is a Jubilee Year. While the Jubilee year follows the 7th Shemitah Year thus becoming the 50th year, the Jubilee year is also the 1st year of the new cycle thus keeping the 49 year cycle going.
Jubilee Years are important for Jews. The last two Jubilee Years have been important in the establishment of the State of Israel. During World War I, Great Britain seized control of Palestine from the Ottoman empire. Lord Balford had prayed for many years for the land of Jesus to be returned to the Jews. Following the "Great War" in 1917, Lord Balford wrote the Balford Declaration to Lord Rothschild which set in motion turning over Palestine to the Jews. The year of the Jubilee saw the foundations laid for the establishment of the state of Israel. However, this did not happen until after the Second World War. In May 1948 Britain formally turned the land of Palestine over to the Jews thus establishing the State of Israel. After nearly 2000 years since the Romans kicked the Jews out of their homeland they once again had their own country. Israel was once again restored to life!
During the last Jubilee Year in 1967, State of Israel took possession of Jerusalem for the first time in 2000 years. Jerusalem is the holy city in which Solomon built the Temple that God lived in, and Abraham was about to sacrifice his son Issac. It is also the city where God had his son Jesus sacrificed for mankind's sins.
In September 2015 we start a new Jubilee year. The new Jubilee starts with a partial solar eclipse. (See below for details.) It is of special note that this is 40th Jubilee Year since Jesus was crucified in Jerusalem. It is also the 70th Jubilee year since the first one was proclaimed by God. The number 40 is the Biblical time period of redemption. The number 70 has the Biblical meaning of perfect completion. So this coming Jubilee Year will very likely have very special meaning for mankind. Perfect completion of redemption. Be prepared! Be right with God.
