A WARNING  FROM DICK SMITH:
You may be aware that "Dick Smith" chain franchise stores are being pressured by the Islamic Council of Australia to gain 'Halal Certification' otherwise they will be proscribed and banned from Muslim custom.

This is their response:

 A MESSAGE FROM DICK SMITH.
"We at Dick Smith's have received a number of letters  from people asking if we will be putting the Muslim Halal logo on our food.
To acquire Halal certification, payment is required to the endorsing body (the  Islamic Council) and involves a number of site inspections of both our growers and processors in order to ensure that our practices comply with the conditions of Halal certification.
It is important to note that this does not reflect the quality of the food being processed or sold – it only means that the products are approved as being  prepared in accordance with the traditions of the Muslim faith. We are aware of an increasing number of large companies both in Australia and overseas, such as Kraft and Cadbury, who have obtained accreditation to use the Halal logo. We don’t believe they have done this because of any religious  commitment but rather for purely commercial reasons. Perhaps these large  organisations can afford to do this.

While we have a choice however, we would prefer to avoid unnecessarily increasing  the cost of our products in order to pay for Halal accreditation when this money would be better spent continuing to support important charitable causes where assistance is greatly needed. We point out that we have never been asked to put a Christian symbol (or any other religious symbol) on our
food requiring that we send money to a Christian organisation for the right to do so.
Others would add that money paid to ANY Muslim 'organisation' (and you had better believe it: these people ARE 'organised') can easily find its way into the hands of Islamic extremist-fanatics and murderers, irrespective of assurances to the contrary.
What other assurances do we accept from Muslims?

Oh, that's right,
'Islam is a religion of PEACE'!
How less Australian can companies get, than to place money into the hands of those who seek to exploit us?" This is an example of how the leaders of Muslims in Aus/NZ are bullying large commercial organisations (especially in the food industry) into paying what is no more than blatant extortion money. The amazing part is that these weak-kneed organisations (Cadbury/ Schweppes/ Nestles/ Kraft etc.) actually pay the large sums demanded by these self-appointed religious bureaucrats. Of course, the manufacturers promptly pass this levy
on to  unwitting consumers as cost increases. Next time you buy a block of  Cadbury's chocolate, look for the Halal Certification seal on the wrapper. So, regardless of your own religious faith, you end up subsidizing Islam.

The Council also controls the Muslim voter bloc which, as yet, does not have sufficient critical mass to make a difference - but give them time. Several state jurisdictions are under pressure to adopt or permit Sharia Law in Marriage, Family and Property matters and some, under the delusion that they are being progressively liberal, are permitting this. This has already happened in some local authorities in the U.K. oogle the U.K. Education Department's current investigation into the conduct of Muslim-run schools in the
Birmingham area of England .

How many more warnings do people need?
Subject: Those Blueberries Won't Die (True Story)

Last summer we endorsed a product called BerryBreeze, which is a device that makes produce last 2-3 X longer by purifying the air in your fridge. Our editor-in-chief Frederic Patenaude has run a little experiment to see if Berry Breeze really works, by leaving blueberries right before leaving for a 10-day trip to Europe… Check out his story below!

Live awesome!

My Berry Breeze Experiment
by Frederic Patenaude

Last week I came back from a 10-day long trip to Europe.

Every time I travel, it's the same story. I have a ton of stuff to finish before I leave, and I rarely manage to get it all done.

One of the things that must be done before leaving for a couple of weeks is to make sure no food is going to rot in the fridge or kitchen.

So, before my last trip, I decided to try a new experiment.

You see, a couple of months ago I told you about Berry Breeze, the device that Kevin and I found to be most effective to eliminate fungus in your fridge, preventing foods from rotting and making all produce last significantly longer.

So I decided to leave a box of blueberries in my fridge, which was already old. By the time I left, the blueberries were already 12 days old.

I wanted to see if Berry Breeze would work as well as advertised, and if the blueberries would last during my trip. I didn't think they would, but it was worth a shot.

I also left other type of produce: mushrooms, parsnip, and apples.

When I came back, I was flabbergasted.

The blueberries were still going strong! So were the parsnip and apples. However, the mushrooms were gone, but at least didn't completely rot and make a mess. They just didn't last like the rest of the produce.

I took some pictures after I came back, and one again today.

So far, those blueberries refuse to die! Although looking a bit shriveled up, they haven't started rotting, and it's been 35 days.

Two months of Berry Breeze Use

It's been about two months since I started using Berry Breeze. It really works, and I'm testing its limits with the immortal blueberries. Granted, organic blueberries have a lower water content than the big fat, commercial ones, but I'm still amazed at how well Berry Breeze is performing.

A Few More Berry Breeze Stories

- Two weeks ago, after coming back from my trip, I found a good deal on grapes. So I bought an entire case of grapes. The grapes stayed plump and juicy the entire time, without every one grape rotting or going all mushy and soft.

- I now regularly leave unwrapped vegetables in the fridge and they stay crisp and fresh. For example, I left an entire bunch of leeks without wrapping them at all and they didn't brown or show any signs of fatigue after a week.

- I still have to keep lettuce and water-rich leafy vegetables in a container or bag, with holes, or in the vegetable crisper. That's only because those vegetables require more moisture to stay fresh. Other vegetables and fruit can stay fresh without protection.

Berry Breeze is a little device that really does the job. It's already saving me a ton of headaches, as I'm no longer worrying that my produce will go back quickly.

My fridge smells great, and I'm saving a lot by not throwing out almost any produce anymore. This product works.

Get BerryBreeze. Save your food. Stop worrying about produce going moldy. Stop throwing away your good produce. And enjoy cleaner food. Get BerryBreeze directly from the manufacturer.

This is priceless
All these examples do NOT imply that gasoline is cheap; it just illustrates how outrageous some prices are.
You will be really shocked by the last one (at least, I was)!!!

Think a gallon of gas is expensive?

This makes one think, and also puts things into perspective.

Diet Snapple, 16 oz., $1.29 ... $10.32 per gallon!

Starbuck's Reg. Coffee 16 oz., $2.10... $16.80 per gallon!

Lipton Ice Tea, 16 oz., $1.19 ... $9.52 per gallon!

Gatorade, 20 oz., $1.59 ..... $10.17 per gallon!

Ocean Spray, 16 oz. , $1.25 .. $10.00 per gallon!

Brake Fluid, 12 oz., $3.15 .... $33.60 per gallon!

Vick's Nyquil, 6 oz., $8.35 ... $178.13 per gallon!

Pepto Bismol, 4 oz., $3.85 . $123.20 per gallon!

Whiteout, 7 oz., $1.39 ......... $25.42 per gallon!

Scope, 1.5 oz., $0.99 .....$84.48 per gallon!

And this is the REAL KICKER.

Evian water, 9 oz., $1.49 ...$21.19 per gallon!
$21.19 for a gallon of WATER!!
and the buyers don't even know the source
(Evian spelled backwards is Naive.)

Ever wonder why computer printers are so cheap? So they can hook you for the ink. Someone calculated the cost of the ink at you won't believe it but it's true: $ 5,200 a gal.
$ 5200 A GALLON!!!

So, the next time you're at the pump, be glad your car doesn't run on water, Scope, Whiteout, Pepto Bismol, Nyquil or, God forbid, Printer Ink!!!!!

Freezing Lemons - Who Knew
Read this – it may save your life or the life of a friend or loved one. The more you read, the more you want to know… it’s not long, so, read it. It’s amazing!
Amazing frozen lemons All it is.....is a frozen lemon

Many professionals in restaurants and eateries are using or consuming the entire lemon and nothing is wasted. How can you use the whole lemon without waste?

Simple.. place the washed lemon in the freezer section of your refrigerator. Once the lemon is frozen, get your grater, and shred the whole lemon (no need to peel it) and sprinkle it on top of your foods.

Sprinkle it to your vegetable salad, ice cream, soup, cereals, noodles, spaghetti sauce, rice, sushi, fish dishes, whisky.... the list is endless.

All of the foods will unexpectedly have a wonderful taste, something that you may have never tasted before. Most likely, you only think of lemon juice and vitamin C. Not anymore.

Now that you've learned this lemon secret, you can use lemon even in instant cup noodles.

What's the major advantage of using the whole lemon other than preventing waste and adding new taste to your dishes?

Well, you see lemon peels contain as much as 5 to 10 times more vitamins than the lemon juice itself. And yes, that's what you've been wasting.

But from now on, by following this simple procedure of freezing the whole lemon, then grating it on top of your dishes, you can consume all of those nutrients and get even healthier.

It's also good that lemon peels are health rejuvenators in eradicating toxic elements in the body.

So place your washed lemon in your freezer, and then grate it on your meal every day. It is a key to make your foods tastier and you get to live healthier and longer! That's the lemon secret! Better late than never, right? The surprising benefits of lemon! Lemon (Citrus) is a miraculous product to kill cancer cells. It is 10,000 times stronger than chemotherapy.

You can now help a friend in need by letting him/her know that lemon juice is beneficial in preventing the disease. Its taste is pleasant and it does not produce the horrific effects of chemotherapy.

As you know, the lemon tree is known for its varieties of lemons and limes.

You can eat the fruit in different ways: you can eat the pulp, juice press, prepare drinks, sorbets, pastries, etc... It is credited with many virtues, but the most interesting is the effect it produces on cysts and tumors.

This plant is a proven remedy against cancers of all types. Some say it is very useful in all variants of cancer. It is considered also as an anti microbial spectrum against bacterial infections and fungi, effective against internal parasites and worms, it regulates blood pressure which is too high and an antidepressant, combats stress and nervous disorders. The source of this information is fascinating: it comes from one of the largest drug manufacturers in the world, says that after more than 20 laboratory tests since 1970, the extracts revealed that It destroys the malignant cells in 12 cancers, including colon, breast, prostate, lung and pancreas... The compounds of this tree showed 10,000 times better than the product Adriamycin, a drug normally used chemotherapeutic in the world, slowing the growth of cancer cells.

And what is even more astonishing: this type of therapy with lemon extract only destroys malignant cancer cells and it does not affect healthy cells. So, give those lemons a good wash, freeze them and grate them. Your whole body will love you for it!!!!!
